Is there any specific law in India which could ban tainted politicians from fighting elections?

Even if such laws were to be there, our intelligent leaders would have found a way to bypass it and make merry.

Can a goonda or a rowdy element can contest election, what if just tainted politician contest the election.
Yes there are laws to an tainted people to contest elections but as you know unfortunately there are always some loopholes in the system of which these people make use of.
