I have to do a social studies assigment on leaders , so I am chossing,Jawaharlal Nehuru .
ok good...best of luck...even I dunno the answer hehehe
and I have to write a letter to the people telling them,why my leader should win an award or be in hall of fame thanks....
Most of us here in the USA do not know much about India.There dose seem to be a lot of people from that region owning 7/11 convenience stores over here.

I have not heard good things about India's governmental policies towards the US.I guess we have always had a tense relationship, since the cold war.

As far as your subject ..All I know is from reading his Biography and what little we see on TV and movies, From what I know I would say a wonderful thing happened in your Country.Though the odds were against them these leaders pulled off a wonderful triumph of non violent resistance and accomplished much.It was a shinning beacon to those who hope for peace and justice for all mankind.Whether this man deserves an award, I would think he would say no, that he did what was right and just and that this speaks for it self.Others in high places will have to decide these things.

Maybe you could focus on his life and works.
