1. Make the following constitutional changes which are to be made by the Indian Citizens only by direct voting and not through MPs and MLAs.
   
   1. Elect President of India , Vice President, Governors directly by the public by direct voting and not thro' MPs and MLAs.
   
   2. If the President or Vice President or Governor misbehaves they can be removed by voting out by atleast by 80% of Legislators and MPs.
   
   3. President, Vice President, Governors will have sweeping powers mainly for containing Corruption , Major policy decisions of National Interest etc.which can be decided suitably.
   
   4. If MLAs, MPs, Miinisters,Officials etc found to be guilty , corrupt or misconduct they will be investigated independantly by the agencies directly under the control of President/ Governor and direct penal action taken by the President to sack them / penalise / punish them.
   
   5. President / V.P/ Governors need not be political persons. They can have well
   selected advisory panels to assist them
   
   6. President should have totally independant powers and supporting agencies.
   
   7.Wrong doing Politicians and Officials will become sensitive only if some independant power can be in a position to take action against them for their wrong doings.
   
   8. Vote Bank Politics should go.
   
   9. Constitutional changes can be only by the people's direct participation and it should be compulsory for every one to vote and minimum 75 to 85% people should approve changes in constitution. For example, Reservation Policy. People should decide on that and not the politicians who are having their own narrow intentions.
   All concessions should be for everyone who really needs and should be without consideration of caste, creed, region, religion, sex etc
   
   10. There should be only 2 parties or fronts. To ensure stabilty of Governments. If one of the allies withdraw support, then the government will be ruled by the President for the balance period and not some other combination to take over from earlier ministry. Ayaram, Gayaram policy should be stopped.
   
   11. All parties should join in any one of the major National Parties to form only 2 fronts. Politicians should not be allowed to enjoy Power with out Resposnsiblities as is happening in some Governments . (That is why some people are opposing 2 party system so that they can continue to enjoy power without responsibility ). If there is coalition every partner should be given responsibility and if they withdraw support , automatically the rule will go to President till next General election.
   
   12. All political parties should be banned from announcing free supplies to public at the time of election. Whose money they are giving ? It belongs to the total people of the State and country. Free issue of TVs,Gas stoves, Cancellation of agricultural loans etc is at the cost of others tax paid money; Paying Paul by robbing Peter is not correct.Such thinking should be stopped.
   
   13. All project details at all levels right from centre to Panchayat level should be published without any body calling for details. Then only public will come to know all the details of the cost, time overrun, reasons for delay and who is responsible for delay and peopleconcerned will become accountable. Public should be in a position to audit the projects in all respects. There are persons in Public who can accurately analyse and assess all plus and minus.
   
   14. Everybody should be made to pay all tax liabilities ( Income tax, Service tax, Property Tax, EXcise Duties, Commercial Taxes, Customs Duty etc )properly and in time. Entire black money should be unearthed. If every rupee of black money is brought out, in the entire country, free education at all levels, free medical facilty for all, interconnecting of all Indian Rivers are all possible.Income should be assessed by considering income as well as expenditure.Every citizen should be assigned PAN number like number and all income and expenditure recorded for every one to assess the real income.
   
   Many such sweeping changes will definitely improve the situation. When this will happen !

7. I realize I am not supposed to ask a question of a question; but what Indian politics are you speaking of? American Indian or India Indian?
8. By public awareness about the depth of Corruption in our country and the importance of political power (Right to Vote), in eliminating corrupt politics.

9. It requires a newer generation b'coz the present guys in politics are not so good and some guys are educated to a very low extent My present favourite is Abdul Kalam and Sonia Gandhi

11. the youth of the country should get together....YOUTH is the key word for everything..we have the mental strength,power,ability to do what the elders cant,and the courage!...
    I strongly feel that most of us have the tendency to just sit and watch what's going on..and talk over it...but I think this isnt going to help in anyway...we should take matters into our own hands..and do something...and make the country the best one in the world...!!!!

12. It is congenital status. Such disorders cannot be removed.

14. There is no such thing as a clean politician. It is all about selling out the public to benefit your friends and yourself. Some politicians are cleaner than others, but, they are all dirty. Geography has nothing to do with it.

16. Impossible to do, unless there is a revolution and for it requires leaders like Gandhi. there is no one now nor seems to have any emerging leaders. Otherwise, politics has to clean by itself, which again is impossible.

17. An stringent enactment should come to debar politicians with criminal background and to rope in highly intellectual people with service oriented bent of mind.

19. Ask the British people involved in polities.
    
    Otherwise, you may request George W. Bush to give some bombardment solutions in India.
    
    Finally, ask the Indians. Majority of the Indians want clean polities but they will say it is impossible.
    
    Personally my point is very practical indeed. Remove all the male politicians/remove all male MLA's/Remove all male MP's and appoint all the women politicians/appoint all female MLA's/appoiant all female MP's for 10 years. The Indian women will delete all the men with their super powers. The Indian women will create emergency but then males will work properly and clean the Indian polities through the females power - super sakthi as told in Hindu Sastras.
20. BY ELECTING EDUCATED AND HONEST PEOPLE FOR GOVERNING THE CENTRE AS WELL AS STATE.

There should be bi-party system.Election expenses should be borne by govt.More than 50% vote to be secured to win an election.Power to people to recall the elected leader if he fails to secure public cofidence.Restricting a single leader to contest in more than One seat.Not allowing a candidate to resign for sake of contesting another election if , due for election for the vacant seat tenure is more than 6 months.
22. Why would you ask Americans? We don't know, obviously.
