Can Sachin Tendulkar beat the World record of scoring the fastest 50 in one day international during world cup
He is known as a hurricane hitter during his start of his career but due to injuries plagued during his latter part of his career he could not live up to his fans expectations of scoring the fastest 50 and fastest 100 in one day internationals. He has a record of scoring the highest centuries in both forms of the game ie Test and one day cricket. My question is can he add to his kitty the fastest 50 or break the record of fastest 50 during this world cup 2007.?

- Yes. No. Maybe. I don't really care.
- Not in world cup ............
- Poor Sachin! He had scored two centuries against Kenya , one against Namibia and one against Lanka during his thirty four world cup matches. This time he has Bermuda, a new entrant to show his prowess . We are probably blind .Whether he gets to play a match with Kenya this time is a big question.Only god can save us.
- the answer has got to be NO. sachin takes 25 balls to reach his 10. this means scoring the next 40 runs in 7 balls to beat the record. no chance ever. sachin should pack his bags and retire and let some young blood take over.
- Hitting 9 centuries in the world cup is not possible
- May be.But not now in this world cup.
- all my best wishes to him...
- Age and injuries have slowed him down.Very unlikely.
- Sachin has a stupendous record both in terms of run rate (RR) as well as strike rate(SR) as far as the world cup is concerned. However, we need to consider his new role in the current world cup where he is expected to provide the much needed stability. In this context breaking the record of fastest 50 may not be possible. However, considering the Team India Strategy for this world cup, in case the opening pair is able to play upto the 10th over (God bless Sehwag); it is quite possible that Sachin comes one down with the objective to blast the opposition. In this scenario, we can expect our Little Master to break the record.
- Yes. Next time put this in the right category though.
