- Don't forget the fact that half the country, which has the second highest population in the world, idolize him. Don't you think that itself is worth it? I think he wouldn't be worth that much had he belonged to any other country.

He is the only player who has seen all the ups and downs of indian cricket and brought single handed victories to the nation more than any other player has done for his country. Moreover its not just a question that Sachin is being given this contracy because ppl. still believe that he has a long career still left, but even if he was to retire tom. even the he would have been worth this contract, because the place, respect and love that he has from the ppl of this country will always be there with him and will keep growing.
