Why doesn't India have a football team?

Although India has a lot of talented football players from states like kerala and calcutta, they still dont have a national team. who thinks they should have one?

4. cz I dont think soccer is famous in india cz cricket dominates indian sports and we just suck in all the other sports.!!!!!

   They have a national team but.........
   1)Out of 1 billion population, not even 10% of the population is interested in football.
   2)They like only Cricket
   3)The government is also not interested in this game of football
   4) There is no initiative from the Indian side.
   
   Thus, though India forms a national team it will be of no use.
