Why india hasnot national foot ball team share in world cup?
I have never heard about foot ball team in india sharing international foot ball team !

- india played pakistan twice they tied once and beat them once. They try to qualify for asian cups and world cups but no offence they suck
- Well, in 1950 India was qualified for the World Cup but sorry to say, no one wanted to sponser for them guess what? football shoes! Those people in our grandfather times were much better than you grandchildren (hey! That includes me!)
- Its a good quesn....! Normally, In India Most of the people have keen interest in Cricket rather than football, coz for so many decades the Encouragement & funds are mainly given to the Cricket alone by our whole country. Only during the Foot ball World cups(like this year's), there is a form of interest among us & asking "why not we participate in this event?"But ,Gradually it will fades away when we watch the Oncoming Cricket series & Worldcup (By next year).....!This is the one that generally happens...
Also, in our country no one knows,where the funds given for the football game are going now..?Its too pity to say this....
But in case of our Cricket, Many ads & sponsers are given to support & randomize this Game.
U know...? Our Cricket team is one of the Richest Cricket team around the World...!
So,Frnd..! Necessary steps must be taken by the Govt & also by us, to fund & encourage this nice international event (Foot ball) so that we may also be a proud participant of Football in the next World cup ( 2011,South Africa).....!

- becuase india is such a poor country and so there is no funding in the sport. alot of people are interested in the world cup but the kids dont have to facilities to become world stars. hopefully in the next few decades though football in india will progress. it wll be hard to advance past teams like japan/korea and saudi and iran though.
